I've been so busy learning about all the post-retirement stuff that I completely forgot to share with you how I've been doing.
First, retirement is awesome. I am still a little shy with strangers but warm up quickly. My foster family have been taking me for some short walks to introduce me to the big world slowly. I like what I'm learning. I still get a little skittish with sudden noises out there but I recover quickly and don't need any babying. Here are some photos of me walking with the big dogs! I was very proud of myself.
I was definitely holding my own but my foster brothers stayed close to me just in case I needed them.
I think we were a really good looking trio.
On our way home the neighbors dog was outside and came over to meet us at the fence. His name is Bogey and I hear him bark over our way sometimes but this is the first time we met. He was very happy to see us and share a smell.
When we got home I was plum tuckered out but I really enjoyed my afternoon. Foster mom says my leash skills are getting better all the time. I am available for adoption so if you are interested in meeting me please fill out an application at GEGR.org.
